Abstract
Early childhood literacy development plays a crucial role in supporting children’s learning readiness and future academic success. However, limited literacy environments, learning media, and access to books remain major challenges in many early childhood education institutions. This community service activity aimed to improve early childhood literacy through the implementation of a creative reading corner at PAUD Al-Barokah, Desa Pasir Kembang, Kecamatan Maja, conducted on November 21, 2025. The method used a participatory approach, including needs assessment, program design, implementation, and evaluation. The program consisted of establishing a reading corner, distributing children’s books, and conducting read-aloud (storytelling) activities. The results showed an increase in children’s reading interest, vocabulary development, and confidence in expressing ideas. In addition, teachers demonstrated improvement in applying more interactive literacy teaching strategies. Therefore, the implementation of a creative reading corner proved to be an effective approach in creating a supportive literacy environment for early childhood. This program is recommended to be sustained and replicated in other early childhood education settings.
