Strengthening Waqf Land Legal Certainty through Legal Education and Assistance in Waqf Deed Issuance: A Community Engagement Initiative in Bondowoso, Indonesia

Waqf land plays an important role in supporting religious, educational, health, and social activities in local communities. However, the absence of adequate legal and administrative documentation may weaken the legal protection of waqf assets and create potential problems in their future management. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen the legal certainty of waqf land in Sumberanom Village, Tamanan District, Bondowoso Regency, through legal education and assistance in the issuance of the Waqf Pledge Deed (Akta Ikrar Wakaf/AIW). The program employed a participatory and assistance-based approach involving field identification, legal education, consultation, document preparation, administrative assistance, and coordination among the waqif, nazhir, foundation administrators, village government, and the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). Initial identification found four waqf land locations with different administrative and legal conditions, with the Kebun Kresek waqf land selected as the primary focus of assistance. The intervention strengthened stakeholders’ understanding of the legal significance of AIW and improved their administrative readiness to formalize the waqf. The principal outcome was the issuance of an AIW for a 950 m² waqf land parcel in Sumber Anom, designated for educational and health activities and managed by Yayasan Bustanul Ulum Sumber Anom as nazhir. The AIW was issued on 19 August 2026. The program demonstrates that integrating legal education with practical administrative assistance and institutional coordination can strengthen the documentary and administrative foundation of waqf land legal certainty. The initiative also provides a potentially replicable community-based model for improving waqf governance and asset protection.

Integrated Entrepreneurship Guidance for Students of Al-Furqon Bondowoso Vocational School in Creating Productive and Independent Young Entrepreneurs

This study addresses the low entrepreneurial readiness among vocational education students, a condition that persists despite the increasing national demand for young entrepreneurs. This gap is evident in the lack of practical skills such as identifying business opportunities, calculating production costs, and effectively marketing products. The aim of this study was to strengthen students' entrepreneurial capacity through an integrated mentoring model tailored to their learning context at SMK Al-Furqon Bondowoso, Indonesia. The method used was a community-based training approach that included seminars, workshops, coaching, and hands-on practice during a three-day intervention (January 4-6, 2026). The findings indicate an increased understanding of entrepreneurial concepts, competency in calculating production costs, pricing, and profit margins, and improvements in designing basic marketing strategies using offline and online media. Participants also demonstrated a shift in attitudes toward entrepreneurship as a viable career path that can be planned as early as possible. The study concludes that context-responsive mentoring can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in vocational settings and has the potential to be replicated to support entrepreneurship development in similar institutions at the secondary education level. These findings also emphasize the importance of an entrepreneurial empowerment model for the younger generation.

Pemberdayaan UMKM melalui Workshop dan Pendampingan Sertifikasi Halal di Desa Sumberdanti Kecamatan Sukowono Kabupaten Jember

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Sumberdanti, Kecamatan Sukowono, Kabupaten Jember, masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam pengurusan sertifikasi halal. Sebagian besar pelaku usaha belum sepenuhnya memahami manfaat maupun prosedur sertifikasi, sehingga proses tersebut dianggap rumit dan mahal, yang pada akhirnya membuat mereka enggan untuk mengajukan permohonan. Tantangan lain juga muncul dari keterbatasan pengetahuan mengenai regulasi, kelengkapan dokumen legal yang belum memadai, serta kendala teknis seperti akun pendaftaran yang lupa atau Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) yang hilang. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya program pemberdayaan yang tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan, tetapi juga pendampingan dan bantuan praktis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pelatihan (workshop) dan pendampingan sertifikasi halal dalam memberdayakan UMKM di Desa Sumberdanti. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi lapangan, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan empat pemilik UMKM, serta dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) meningkatnya kesadaran pelaku usaha akan pentingnya sertifikasi halal, (2) dua UMKM berhasil menyelesaikan tahap pendaftaran awal, (3) kendala administratif seperti akun yang terlupa dan NIB yang hilang masih tetap ada, dan (4) peran penting dosen pendamping yang juga merupakan anggota Halal Center dalam memfasilitasi proses tersebut. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan agar jumlah partisipan diperluas serta melibatkan pemangku kepentingan tambahan, termasuk pemerintah daerah, lembaga keuangan, dan platform digital, guna memastikan pemberdayaan UMKM melalui sertifikasi halal berjalan lebih menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan.

Socialization of the Implementation of ISAK 335 in Orphanages in Medan City

The purpose of this service is so that every orphanage in Indonesia, especially in Medan City, can implement ISAK 335 in preparing its financial reports, so that large donors can trust the money they donate to the orphanage. The method used in this socialization is by interviewing first, then conducting socialization of accounting records to financial reporting in accordance with the provisions in force in Indonesia. The place of this socialization was carried out at the Full Hope Orphanage located on Jl. Pembangunan, Beringin, Medan Selayang District, Medan City. And the Pelita Harapan Orphanage located on Jalan Piala, No. 21A Sei Putih Tengah, Medan Petisah. The implementation time was December 8-9, 2024. The result of this socialization was that the orphanage owners felt awkward because so far they did not know that there were special financial reporting standards for orphanages, because they only recorded their finances in the form of cash receipts and cash disbursements, and even then it was done on the notice board at the orphanage. The result of this service was that the two orphanages only recorded their finances in the form of cash inflows and cash outflows, without following the applicable standards.
